The greatest faith Jesus ever witnessed was that of the Roman Centurion in Matthew 8, because he understood authority and had confidence in the authority of Jesus.

Believers all around the world are struggling in so many aspects of their lives including their finances, health, faith, hope, brokeness, and relationships. This is not how it was meant to be. In this world we will have struggles but he has overcome the world and he left you his peace, his shalom, that surpasses all understanding. Shalom in the Hebrew Lexicon not only means peace, but also wholeness, completeness, well-being, prosperity, and reconciliation.

If Jesus left us all these things and if he has given us life and life abundantly, then why are believers struggling so much? Jesus gave us authority to influence the world for the Kingdom of Heaven. We as believers lack confidence in that authority, the authority of Jesus. If we did not lack confidence in his authority we would live our lives very differently. We need to get to the point where we trust in our relationship with God with our lives. Our lives should be aligned to God’s Operating system, and not the world’s. Instead we have settled for a lesser operating system because we have been deceived by world, the Devil, and our own sin. Just like a smartphone cannot run an application that was not designed for its operating system so too were we as Christian believers not designed to live according to the system of this world. We are called to a higher operating system and we need to be connected to it just like our tablets and smartphones are connected to cloud computing, we need to be connected to Heaven. We need to invest in our relationship with God and grow in knowing him and trusting in him.
